Seeding essentially doesn’t matter anymore.

You work all season long and end up deciding your year on whatever the CIF and Maxpreps thinks is proper.

There has to be a system put in place where public school teams aren’t playing in D4 and D5

D4 right now in the final four has: Berkeley, Lincoln, and Santa Cruz all schools with thousands of students going up against Priory and all 200 boys that attend that school.

Looks like most of the CCS teams ended up in D3 & D4, other than Riordan & SI. They had teams in every game played in those divisions last night.

I’d like to see the CIF tweak the State playoff system. I think a team should only be able to move down a max of 2 divisions. Berkeley High 16-15 (D1) has no business playing in D4.

And Berkeley is not just an averaged sized D1 school. They have 3,335 students, second largest in the entire section to Pittsburg’s 3,397. For them to be put into D4 is nuts. At 16-15, If they aren’t good enough for D2, they should just not play.

Why aren't enrollment numbers gendered.
50% might be male and at most schools on 20 or so kids are actually capable.
I went to a huge school but in reality most were not even capable of playing a sport.
