Oak Grove looks to flip result against Los Gatos

Thanks for sharing Streak1.... This article was a great read..... Earlier in the week I predicted Los Gatos to win this game 26-21. Had I known about OG's injuries and holdouts in the prior game I would have picked OG this time. OG is basically fielding a whole different team than the one that played Los Gatos in August. And Los Gatos is on notice. While reading the article it seems as if the OG coaching staff as well as the players are oozing with mucho confidence this time. I'm going to stick with my previous prediction. However, this game just got more interesting.

LG had better be on their toes. Four years ago VC played OG in the preseason and crushed them. They met again in the CCS championship game and OG returned the favor and crushed VC 42-23.

Everything points to this game being much closer than the initial meeting when OG was missing a number of key players.

If your benchmark is a 44-0 drubbing, then yes, it will likely be closer. But, it won't be close.

VC beat OG 24-0 in 2015 and then lost to them in the playoffs giving up 43 points, so anything is possible. LG is definitely favored but......

Yes, anything is/was possible. But, a close game wasn’t likely going to happen.

In two games, the Eagles couldn’t score at all against Los Gatos.

The reality is that Oak Grove caught a perfect wave into the finals.

Salinas lost 5 starters (I haven’t seen why, but probably to grades). Oak Grove held on for the close win.

Palma was missing their most explosive weapon. Palo Alto got by the Chieftains. Oak Grove scooted by the Vikings.

Had either Salinas or Palma been as full strength, the Eagles wouldn’t have likely made it this far. But, things happen and they were able to ride that wave into the mouths of a lot of hungry wildcats.

Gotta give it to you. You know the CCS very well. Moreso than others it seems. Great call Cal14.
