I wonder where they will seed DV now in CIF. My guess is theyll end up as one of the top 3 seeds in D1.

I don’t see any way that’s possible. They’ll be lucky to get a home game. There are 4 other NCS teams currently in the NCS Open, plus a higher seed in SL who beat DV head to head by 20 that also lost last night.

Even if the NCS gets 3 teams in to the NorCal Open, there’s just no way DV leapfrogs over a higher seed based on their play last night. When DLS (or whoever else) runs the table and wins D1, they’ll likely be higher as well. That puts DV at the #4 seed just for NCS teams, before any of the many quality teams from CCS or SJS are factored in.

Committees don’t usually factor in injuries when seeding, but they do factor in results and last night’s game should be a big factor in their seeding. BOD clearly had the better team. Last night’s team is who will be playing in the NorCals, not the one that was dominant prior to Robbie’s injury.

@observer22 thanks for clearing that up. Great explanation. We still have about 10 days to go before CIF, but it will be interesting to see how the divisions shake out. I'm especially curious where my Hall will end up!
