Lockie will be a RSJr this fall. I was just lobbing that back at Streak. Any D1 player on roster for RS, Fr and So years is not going to lay down and ask for a release. That said, the competition is on. As far as coaches "giving" the starting job to a recruit (whether Juco, HS or transfer) promises or guaranteed PT is speculative. You compete for the position and go from there. But if you have a chance to play at last years runner-up, that's hard to pass up.
I was just thinking about not only that years' QBs, but some other very good products from NorCal-
Kline, Lockie, Houston, Lloyd, Graves, Trosin either have transferred or have few stats, although Lloyd put up some numbers at a D2 this season.
We'll see how Goff and Browning pan out.
No doubt it's a rough road, with plenty of potholes, especially for signal callers.
