Palma-24 vs Aptos-13 final

Emilio Martinez hurts his shoulder in the win. Had his arm in a sling. Dont know the severity of the injury but he didnt finish the game. Palmas offense has struggled now in the 2nd half of games in back to back weeks when Emilio goes down. They try to throw the ball too much instead of relying on their strength in running the ball.

Palmas defense hasnt looked great either. I know they have been playing decent teams but they are very inconsistent. One drive they look very good then the next they look soft. If they face a hot offense that protects the ball they will struggle. Defense has come up huge the past two weeks with turnovers in 1st half. Outside of the sutter game palma has yet to finish a team off. They continue to let teams hang around in 2nd half.

Martinez being out for any period of time will change the season. He sets up everything they do on offense.

Aptos falls to 1-3, but props for loading up the non-league

Martinez shoulder is fine. He will play this week. It swelled up and couldn't lift his arm - was a deep bruise. It's getting better. I hear junior Telford is almost ready to start playing...he dressed out for SHP game but has been held out. He is a very good RB and as good a defender and very fast. May start getting playing time after this week. Torculas now has a couple games back and seems to be more than an able backup at RB and will get better, and should impact the defense as well.

They play Christopher next game and I hear their HC left the program and QB and RB may be out due to injury.
