Palma 45 HMB 42 Final

Heard HMB was without Best player Nuno... ankle or something. Possibly out for norcals also, bad break for HMB... no pun intended.

Yea, I think the last time he won a CCS title was in the WCAL. Proved again how meager the PAL North was, with all the twinkies, ding dongs, and snoballs the Dr feasted on during the regular season. Maybe SI, if it opens up, but I don't think any other school has openings unless something unexpected happens. SI always likes to hire their own and last time I checked the Dr was purple and gold, with cardinal and white (Lowell) and red and white (Burlingame), and now black and blue, I mean orange (HMB). Either way, the Dr needs to be back on the real stage, stop beating schools in the Hostess North League LOL

Hmmmmm, interesting... There happens to be an open position in the Sunset. Does he live geographically near? Under what circumstances did he leave Riordan? New house outside the area? Too far to drive? Higher pay elsewhere?

SI encourages their coaches to be on campus (ie teacher). I believe he lives in HMB. As enticing an SI gig might be, I think at this point in his life, staying close to home is a better fit.

I would hope SI gives their coach one more year. he was handed a bunch of "nice kids" who love to play basketball, but no ballers. They are still a couple years away from being competitive. A nice freshman class. They need a ringer to transfer in to supplement their solid young foundation. I think the school was burned over the Stephen Domingo experiment.

This might sound blasphemous to Wildcat hoops fans, but Don Lippi, not Bob Drucker, was SI's best coach and he was an outsider. I don't think he ever received the recognition he deserved during his tenure on 37th Ave.

Coastside commute via Highway 1 North is not bad heading toward Sloat and the avenues. The other-way is a brute, over the hill etc.

I can see it happening because everyone I think knew there was a small window with both Nuno brothers together and then apart - and their supporting cast. Too bad SI feels they have to stay "in house" aka Alumni.

He'd be a perfect fit imo.
