The profile mentions to comment on message board so here goes. Agree with lots of the profile, but Emilio is more than a finesse RB. He actually runs with a lot of power and is tough to tackle. While not tall (5-9), he is very strong - benches over 300 lbs and is still a junior. He tends to turn and shift his body while keeping his feet going....not a straight ahead runner but very tough to tackle for negative yards. He will run through people at times for extra yards. He's not any easy RB for one person to tackle. Also there is a comment having to prove his durability. He's never been out of a game due to injury and is very durable. Only injury I can think of pulled hammy in track that has been fine. While no offers yet, he has already been told by a Mountain West school that they will offer.

Didnt read the profile on him. But Emilio is a very talented RB. He fits coach Dalmans Zone run offense to perfection. Very quick and powerful to hole. Hard to arm tackle him because he is so quick and powerful. Looks like he got faster so it will be hard to bring him down in the open field as well. As far as durability goes like Norcal said outside of the pulled hammy he suffered in track (which he recovered from) he has been nothing but healthy. My only concern would be by the time he gets to college he could have a lot of carries under his belt. At some point he could start to breakdown but you never know. Emilio is also a great kid off the field. I am sure he will get some offers heading into his senior year. I think mountain west would be a great conference to play in for him. He actually reminds me of Doug Martin.

I think he should stay at the second best junior back in NorCal (behind Najee Harris). Size is an issue, but he can play and you can't overlook that production.

I believe the average size of a D1 RB (based on some metrics I have seen) is around 5-10, 205, minimum around 5-7, 150+. Minimum size RBs got to have the speed. On the max side around 6-4 ... He's around 5-9, 185 (+ or minus 5 lbs) and a junior. The average also isnt for incoming freshmen, but for college players. This may have been updated as is a couple year old data. While a little below average height he's only a high school junior and based on his training will probably be at least another 10 lbs heavier sometime next year. He doesn't have elite top speed, but 40 and top speed are currently better than adequate and improving. I agree that he is one of those RBs that has the potential to be more of a productive RB at the next level than a game changer. At the high school level he is a game change as far as teams have to scheme for him or always account for him. Very productive at this level. He looks smaller on the field because he is standing behind a 6-4 inch tall QB, but he's actually 5-9. Behind Richardson he looks like he's 5-6.

Harris looks like he will be a major impact player the day he steps on a football field for a major program as a freshman. Harris is a freak of nature. There are some other very good RBs in the 2017 class but he is clearly at a level on his own.

I spoke to Emilio after the game last week and in my opinion 180 pounds is pushing it. He is not a very big kid at all. I am thinking 170ish. However that said he runs MUCH bigger than he is. He is very quick and fast which is a two headed monster. He was very respectful and well mannered in speaking with him. Very humble in my opinion. I hope that he stays healthy because he is fun to watch unless you are opposing him

He actually weighed in at 183 at a camp. I agree he doesn't look that big. I don't know how he hides his weight. He does look small out there. He's also a weight room warrior. Good kid. He works hard at everything he does and definitely is humble and respectful. Palma is thin at RB until next week. They have a senior returning who is very good on both sides of the ball, and at some point hopefully Telford a junior returns. Telford is a little faster than Emilio and relatively strong and excellent RB. He's a little taller but probably 15 lbs lighter. With him, Palma has a a legitimate double threat impact players at RB if they both play- also a good defender.

Just heard Palma's Zach Ralston (2016) OG/DL just verbally committed to Claremont Mudd Scripts to play football and study engineering. He had several offers. He decided based on the academics and strength of the engineering school.
