Well, I've watched ten of these twelve teams in person at least once this season, let's see if I've gotten a handle on any of 'em...
Open: DLS over MC 53-51 - Really a tossup game, will be up to FT's, execution, foul trouble, hot shooting streaks if any, etc, but I think DLS has more overall size despite Idahen's presence. I think DLS has more quality shooters, too. Will any of that offset MC's having a lot more experience at the cavernous Sleep Barn?
D1: Berkeley over Menlo-Atherton 57-53 - Another tossup; I've had no clue in this division all year, and I've not seen M-A play at all. These two faced each other back in December and M-A won, but really anything could happen, both teams on a serious roll now.
D2: El Cerrito over Serra 62-50 - Gauchos have overcome a 1-4 start vs. a ridiculous schedule to make it here and clobbered Mitty on Tuesday. Despite EC's speed and athelticism, it seems the teams they had the most trouble with this year were the speedy, athletic type (like Salesian, for example). Serra isn't exactly slow and methodical, but I wouldn't say speed and quickness is their strength.
D3: O'Dowd over Manteca 65-59 - A young Dragons team is on a bigtime roll after a tough start to the year; the light has turned on big and bright for these guys. Also, they are one of few teams inNorCal with enough size to match up with all the size of Manteca.
D4: Palma over West Campus 55-51 - Palma is the other I haven't seen in action... West Campus, only once. Based on extremely 2nd-hand input, I'd say the hgiher the score goes, the more likely W. Campus gets the win with all the bouncy guys they've got. I just have an idea the game will be kept down in the 50's.
D5: St. Joe's over Stuart Hall 59-47 - Pilots are undefeated in D5 and they are playing extremely well right now. Also, they just beat the Hall by 16 a couple weeks ago.
