Any updates from this event? Saw a post that they would have programs from all over. Even saw a Wooster-Reno sighting.
I don’t know where all this Liberty transfer BS is coming from, they got 3 kids coming in. 2 kids moved into the boundaries and 1 kid lives within the Liberty boundary and decided to go to his local school after his private school coach left. Much different than the choice school kids who live in the boundaries of another district and attend a school for athletically motivated reasons. I’m sure 3 new faces is norm for just about every school in the area. They lost their talented WR to a recent move so that makes them +2 for the off season. The haters will just have to come out of the woodworks because they want excuses when the lose to themWith Pitt losing so many D1 prospects via graduation, and the new transfer destination bring Liberty, do you think this is a changing of the guard? Their was talk about Freedom being that team a few years ago. Seems like Liberty is becoming the new CVC. So much for that “choice school” separation argument from the Liberty Head Coach. They would have to fall into that category now right?
I hear what your saying and Liberty has been lucky to have talented players to move to Brentwood. All the kids listed above live within the boundaries, families move, and Brentwood is one of the most affordable places if not the most affordable area in the Bay Area. Even the Heritage kids family moved and are now in Liberty’s zone. The BC kid has always lived in the town and was lured away to play for a private school. To call them a transfer destination is loose talk IMO. Much different than Bandes at Pitt who lives in Antioch and what happens with private and charter schoolsNot hating at all. I think Partridge is a helluva coach, and love what he’s doing. Just think it’s kind of the pot calling the kettle black, when you try and promote a separation of private and public but you have a transfer list of
Vaki- Antioch
Can’t recall the two brothers from Pitt
Lineman from Heritage
Kid from BC
Sure I’m missing one or two more, but who cares...
We’re not talking backups, or special teams players . Fully expect them to play DLS for the NCS championship. Anything less, would be underperforming. I think Butterfield is going to do amazing things at Oregon.
If you think that those kids actually that transferred like the Bartley’s actually live in Brentwood than there’s no debating it with you any way. Speaking of which, the majority of the top players at each BVAL school live in Antioch. Which is fine. There are no CIF rules against transferring. Only the NCS and individual school districts impose out of district transfers. But don’t sit there and argue that Liberty is full of homegrown talent. The league MVP was a transfer from Antioch last year! HahahaI hear what your saying and Liberty has been lucky to have talented players to move to Brentwood. The MVP’s family moved the Brentwood, hence no sit out for him. That’s different then him changing schools and still living at his previous residence. Like I said haters are going to come out of the woodwork like when a certain Pitt homer tried to report Liberty for holding a voluntary team combine last offseason saying it was an illegal practice. You remember that I bet....If you think that those kids actually that transferred like the Bartley’s actually live in Brentwood than there’s no debating it with you any way. Partridge is reaping the benefits of being the new nonPittsburg destination in the BVAL. And he just so happens to be the school’s athletic director. So hopefully the AD can monitor the football head coach thoroughly at Liberty.

I don’t think it’s a changing of the guard, but rather another BVAL school challenging Pitts supremacy in the league. Pitt is too good of a program, even with their graduation losses, to just think Liberty will walk away with the league title.But I don’t think it’s a stretch to consider Liberty the favorite to win the league.Its a good thing that the BVAL has two top notch programs.With Pitt losing so many D1 prospects via graduation, and the new transfer destination bring Liberty, do you think this is a changing of the guard? No one said they DON’T have homegrown talent.I will absolutely argue that Liberty has home grown talent. There are several starters on the team that have been playing together since they were 7 and 8 years old with East County, coached all those years by three of the coaches on the Liberty coaching staff. There are also players that played for other Brentwood/Oakley youth football teams. Sure they have had a few transfers but the talent has been growing there for a while.

Was another good Pittsburg event. Rio Linda, Rio Americana, Campolindo, DLS, Deer Valley, Antioch, James Logan, Bullard, Concord, and even Wooster from Reno showed up. Those are the ones off the top of my head. There were a couple more.
Bullard looks like a good team, they should be a force to be recon with. They remind me of a Freedom type team. DLS just looks mediocre in the passing game. The quarterback is just really inaccurate. Pitt’s defense backs looked pretty bad. Deer Valley looked okay, should be interesting now that they are division 2. James Logan has two very good quarterbacks. Rio Linda looks like they have some guys. Would not be surprised if they have another state run. Americana has a couple of big play speed guys and really good looking quarterback. Campolindo’s passing game looks really in sync. UC Davis is getting a very good quarterback. Antioch has a huge tight end. Looks about 7 feet tall! They have some good players but we’ll see what they look like when they start playing BVAL games.
Early BVAL Prediction:
Liberty 10-0
Pittsburg 7-3
Freedom 5-5
Deer Valley 5-5
Antioch 5-5
Heritage 3-7

I'll agree that Bullard looked good. Things got a little chippy vs Pitt. Both teams had some speed and athletes. Hard to really tell much of anything though in any 7 on 7. No lines, no pads, and no rush. I disagree re/ Hale. I thought he looked very good at the Pitt Tourney. Much better than he did the week before. Threw with touch and was, overall, very accurate. You mentioned Campo and DLS beat them by 3 scores.
Yes, Pitt puts on a great tourney. Macio (sp) is announcing teams so you know matchups throughout the day, the stadium scoreboard clock is running, and concessions are going. A great event for a summer passing tourney.
Ah yes. When a private school gets a transfer it’s recruiting and when a public school gets a transfer (even frequently) it’s serendipitous happenstance!I hear what your saying and Liberty has been lucky to have talented players to move to Brentwood. 7x7 is all about having the athletes. I think the thing that jumps out about DLS at these events is that they aren’t dominating when they are almost always athletically superior at each position.I was there too. Hale and Sparty looked very solid. I guess we're all entitled to our opinions. And I agree also, Pitt is the best tourney going around here. The Jamboree can't get here fast enough.

Malu? You’re really reaching from the original point here. I’m sure Pitt guys train there too. Keep NCS on your speed dial to report on other schools for non violations. You should add that Pitt spring ball video from last year when they’re hitting the sled on your next inquiry. Congrats to Pitt tho on getting that stud 8th grader from Oakley who’s already on varsity, your guys recruiting is dialed inYou mean like the Bartley’s?
And don’t underestimate the De La Salle influence in the NCS/East Contra Costa. Hence the elimination of the ability to advance to state after losing in NCS Finals.
Next you’ll say that Malu Fitness has had nothing to do with who has gone to Freedom, Antioch, or Liberty over the past 5 years. The sweet bliss of innocence! Hahahaha
Hahahaha! It is going to be alright Nasty. It was a noble attempt by Liberty to have a public school only playoffs. I like Liberty and the new head coach. But your anger is misguided. Galli isn’t influencing rules that favor De La Salle. So enjoy your run at Liberty to lose in the NCS title game and have your season end. Hating Pittsburg football won’t change the rules.Malu? MV seems to have some very good players. This may be the first breakout season post Bergman. Outside of them I think it is a toss up between the next 5 teams.Wow, looking forward to this Liberty Pitt game in 2019. Sounds like they both have reaped the rewards of being successful HS football programs. Still a long shot to even compete with the green machine.
Aside from the Big 3, (DLS, Lib, Pitt) who could surprise in D1? Freedom, Antioch, SRV, MV, Cal, maybe even a dark horse like Logan or Berkeley?

Speaking of De La Salle, it is interesting that they’ve been exposed and are out manned by the SoCal Power 5 now, make a commitment to run the spread offense, and all of a sudden have a nice collaboration of young speedsters that can fit the new look offense.
Regarding the Pittsburg freshman on Varsity, I don’t know where he lives. You are right, he is a stud. De La Salle got a nice group of studs coming in too. But none compare to the 16 year old freshman phenom quarterback that has been home schooled out of Walnut Creek, and is now on varsity for Liberty. The kid is legit! Congrats Nasty!
16 year old Freshman? How does he play his senior year at 20?
Something is incorrect?
16 = Frosh
17 = Soph
18 = Jr.
19 = Sr.
That’s still pretty old as a freshman, but not all that unusual. It’s becoming more common.
I find it ridiculous to say the least. When one of mine turned 14 two weeks before the start of his freshman year, then went against the powerhouse guy who was; not only born in December but held back in Kgarten. A 20 month difference almost to the day when Seniors; still outrated him. LOL.16 = Frosh
17 = Soph
18 = Jr.
19 = Sr.
