I haven't gotten in on the pickum. But I noticed a unanimous pick for Hilmar? The game is being played at Dunleavy Field? A very hostile place to be a visitor. Just saying these teams are evenly matched. But I think Home field is the difference? Just this man thought.

You might be right about Hilmar @ Sonora!!!! However, what is not so obvious among the whole body of Pick'Em teams this round is that all the external sources about this games shows that there is a very close margin among the competing teams. For example I am guessing that Hilmar will win by 3 points. Yet, they are #9 in my confidence list.

Not all my picks are listed by point margins but it is a pretty important aspect of my confidence list.

That’s actually pretty interesting. Since this pick em is a straight up pick em, there is technically no line/margin. I’ve never even bothered to look into it that. What external sources do you use? And what is the fluctuation on saying a opening margin on Monday and a closing margin on Friday? Plus once I throw my picks in, I usually don’t go back in to adjust them later, unless something noticeable comes to my attention to make me change a pick.

Do you notice if the margins you use typically stays the same or do you see a noticeable variance during the week? I saw this week the Bucs opened at -7.5 vs . Washington. Last night was -10, almost 4 points. If I was just making a straight pick em match up Bucs vs. Washington to me that is no brainer and I wouldn’t even think to look at margin/line as for determining my pick, I’d be all in on the Bucs.

Lookng to improve my stock in the 2022 pick ems and you guys are all dialed in and seem to have your methods. Actually interesting to hear different styles. They say imitation is flattering, heck I just call it plagiarism :)

The regular season Pic'Ems was like the break out of a crowd start of a long distance foot race. Now the match up is like a comparable weight/class pairing of a wrestling 🤼‍♂️ match in 3rd period gym class.
As a skinny muscle-challenged kid I have a lot of experience with face and shoulder mat burns and hopefully my trusty spaghetti arm & leg octopus moves will be reawakened to help me with my smarter and bigger foes. If not, at least Thanks for the mamories Guys, can't say it wasn't fun.

Well if my math is correct, it looks like we have a tie in the south division between Mc415 and EN_FB_Alum. Both sitting with 34 points. Idk how we decide the tie breaker, it was never discussed. Sorry. Maybe you can pick a saturday game? Del Oro vs Jesuit and or Valley Christian vs Serra. Pick the winner of the game for one point and five points for the poster who comes closest to the total points scored for the game. The winner moves on to face Bubba3000 in round two. In the event there is another tie, the poster who picks first will advance. Or is there a much easier way to decide?

im up 34 to 31 currently with the HMB vs Menlo game pending…….he’s got Menlo so if they win we tie and if HMB handles business then I move on
