Yeah, we were already starting to see a shortage of officials before COVID and now the shortage may be worse. I can't tell you how many emails I get each week from NFHS and others recruiting for officials.

With the amount of people being vaccinated, as well as lowering infection numbers, I think Basketball will be back in Mid-April, Early-May.

I know a number of officials who have said they will not work games until they have received their vaccine.

What we heard tonight from our AD is that allowing fans will be a 3 tier process. Tier 1 would be essential staff to run game (which could be parent volunteers to help with scoreboard, scorebook, stats, etc.) followed by Tier 2 for media (school newspaper), and lastly Tier 3 for everyone else. Not sure what will determine what tier we are in yet, more to come.
