OK ... it's fun to bust on the UConn girl, the anointed one ... but really ...
Bueckers is taller, a better three-point shooter, a better passer (check the A/TO) and most important, much younger.
A better comparison is McDonald as a freshman to Bueckers as a freshman, when McDonald averaged 9.8 ppg and had more turnovers than assists.

To be fair to @becoolpt55 I feel it is safe to say McDonald is better right now. Yeah Paige was better as a Frosh than Aari was as a Frosh but when those awards are given that isn't the criteria. I honestly believe Caitlyn Clark had done more with less than Paige Bueckers has done. But make no mistake, Paige is a monster and earned that award but maybe Aari this season was better. Did way more with way less and carried Arizona long enough for the other players to finally start to come into their own offensively during the tournament. It's not about comparing when player x was a Frosh in 201x to when Paige was a Frosh this season. It's about now. 💯

Aari struggled down the stretch because her supporting cast hadn't found their rhythm yet. Now her supporting cast is learning how to not only play grueling defense but also how to go get theirs on offense. It forces teams to respect other players on the team and not just key on Aari. Paige Bueckers is surrounded by players that are Top 25 in their class and some #1 and #2 recruits in their class. Like I said Paige is a monster but those facts matter.
This finals will be fun!! All West Coast girls basketball!!

I say it's still gonna be a tight game. The fact that Arizonas offense was that bad in the first half and the game is tight is good for AZ and not so good for Stanford. I'm looking forward to a great second half by both west coast teams.

Everyone is asking that. I just don't think Fran(The Girl that can dunk) has that dawg in her. Skinny ass Brink has that dog in her and that is why she plays more. She should transfer to a program that will help bring the dog out in her.
Fran Belibi just isn't that good. I've watched Stanford several times this year and though Belibi can dunk, that seems to be her only skill.

oh ok. i remember all the sportscenter highlights but i watched bits of a few games and never see her in. probably be a doctor so not too bad a fall back.
i get she wanted aari to be the hero but even jordan passed to paxson.
Agreed. Not a well played game and really poorly executed at the end, by both teams.
