Prolific Prep is relocating to Ft. Lauderdale

First the Raiders, then the A’s….Now Prolific Prep

They will be able to build over there for 10x less than it would cost here, not too mention taxes are much lower in Florida.

Question is, will someone else come in and start a new prep program in the Bay Area?

Seems like a Jimmy Butler, a Steph Curry, a Draymond Green could easily start a prep school here and probably get some pretty good players to join their program!

none of them mentioned will be here for long.
your better bet is someone with ties. oakland has some proud folks who love their town. get in contact with gary payton. he has been coaching for a minute.

The post-grad Golden State Prep is staying here, however... These two shared the same website, and *seemed* to be affiliated, but I guess not.

Did Doherty also move to FL?

If a tree falls in the forest, and there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound? Personally, I'm not losing ANY sleep over this announcement. Guess they'll have to rename their annual Crush in the Valley event as it doesn't have the same ring to it in southern FL. Possibly Swim (or Drown) in the Sea would be more apropos.......

It is always nice to state facts, as I know message boards can take a mind of its own.

Prolific Prep new state of the art facility will be located in a private 46 home community on 18 acres. It is where many major CEOs live, as well as celebrities such as Gisele Bunchen (Tom Brady when they were together), Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Rick Ross, Devin Hester, Multiple Miami Dolphins, Udonis Haslem, Vontae Davis, Flo Rida, and multiple major international CEO's (Flex Seal Phil Swift). Therefore, the move from Napa to this destination will be very comparable, but also very safe. It is a private community with a state of the art facility built just for basketball development.

And the Crush in the Valley will never remaining the same. Tradition is tradition and we look forward to coming back to play in front of NorCal family and Friends.

There were some elite high school games that prolific put on. If anything that will be missed.

And these players come from Africa and inner city America. Ft Lauderdale is heaven to them.
Women, beaches and hoop
U think the kids are making the decision where they are going or the parents???

Look..14, 15, 16 yr old don't need fast city, night clubs and strip clubs...nothing but trouble. Napa...slow, quiet, low crime and upper middle class area? Perfect spot to leave your child with a host family and feel the child will be safe.

We've all seen the "Florida man" crime blogs and MANY are Broward/Dade county stories.

NOW THAT BEING SAID... The PP representative who just posted about their facilities alleviated (at least for me if i was a parent) those concerns. It sounds like they have a wonderful facility in a secure/private area where I would feel comfortable leaving my child with a host family.

It sounds to me like they have a good thing there!

Ft laud is not the slums. I didn't say the kids would be at a club but the kids in napa were extremely bored. Which leads to drugs, sex, and being accused of things
