Wondering what people think about this matchup? Antioch looks like a force to be reckoned with led by 5 star all world Najee "we don't need to throw we got Najee" Harris. Thing is Antioch has a pretty decent team besides Harris. They have a couple other guys that can take the ball to the house if they get it in space. Harris may be the best athlete Rancho has ever faced. Do they stand a chance? Rancho vs Alhambra is on The Cube buts it feezes. Antioch vs San Leandro is on The Cube also. I don't know, this is going to be a tough one for Rancho Cotate. I mean Antioch has a weapon that looks like Eric Dickerson. What is Rancho to do?

Rancho has one of the best QB/Receiver combo's in Norcal. Mefferd/Yamanaho. Both have big time size. Mefferd is 6"4 200 and Yamanaho is 6"2 190. Yamanho is a Louisville commit. Rancho has blown out weak competition and so has Antioch. Antioch has probably the best player in Norcal. Maybe Calif? Seriously. NFL talent. Its at Rancho. I like Rancho. 42-35.

As seeing Rancho first-hand once this year against Alhambra, I believe Antioch will handle them easier than most people believe. Rancho is a very good team no doubt, but against Alhambra Yamanoha was shut down by not a very big corner and their only weapon was Mo Ward in the run game. Not to mention that RCs defense wasn't necessarily good either. With their run defense being the weakest part of their team. I would be surprised to see Najee have less than 400 and see Antioch win by anything less than 21

Najee for 400 in a blowout. Could happen. I will dispute CTY being shut down though. Alhambra had the safety over the top from what I saw and Rancho just spread the ball around and went the other way from CTY. Why force something when multiple other guys can score? CTY was also 5-85-1. I wont dispute that this isn't the greatest Rancho D ever. Antioch has to play defense also. Glad to see Antioch and Rancho playing each other again.

You are right about the safety and ablut spreading it however in the game Yamanoha had 4 of those catches on jailbreak screens with only one catch being past the yard lines. No doubt he is a weapon but if the Antioch line is big then Rancho will have fits

They're not. More of an athletic line but their built for what they do. They pull allot to outnumber the D on one side and Najee gets it to the edge. Allot of it is Najee though. He takes a loss of 5 and turns it into something. The D is still going to have fits. They have to play lights out to slow him down.

Yikes! I figured Antioch would score some points, but I also thought Rancho would too. Rancho could really use those three starting linemen that are out now. What is going on in Antioch? Antioch must be the real deal this year.

The NBL is down although I still think RC could make a run in the D3 playoffs this year. Analy is a nice surprise in Sonoma County this year. Who cares about CN, they pussed out and went down to D4. They will roll teams like Justin and St.Marys.

The NBL is way down this year...every NBL team that has played out of the area has gotten smashed...check the scores...lol...

RC's schedule was below avg. before this game......they hadn't played anybody.

Rancho actually lost to the same teams last season and finished pretty strong. I wouldn't discount how good Antioch is though. Rancho hadn't been beaten that bad in a while. I think Napa put it on them about that bad like 10 years ago and Eureka when they had Maualuga and Purify. Still, I don't think it was that bad. It's a pick your poison situation going against a solid team with a guy like Najee.

And CN will roll Rancho too, a real D2 school who pussed out and went D3 :).

In the preseason, we had Antioch #14 which was higher than almost anyone. Them and Folsom were the hardest teams to peg.

Through 4 games, the hype is real for Antioch.

Well, looks as predicted. Tough game for RC but Im sure this look adds a reality check and should have them ready for league play

I hope so too. Blowouts happen. Mac got a pretty good Analy team sorta like that last season and Analy finished strong. Just have to treat it as a loss and learn whatever you can learn from a game like that.

Conroy said Najee Harris is the best players he's seen in 30+ years of coaching. I got to check this kid it. Not like we have kids going to BAMA every year. And he has next level size right now.

If I'm the Rancho coaching staff....that video goes right into the garbage can.
Throw it away and pretend it was bad dream. Nothing to accomplish by showing it to the kids....put it behind them, move on and get ready for their league opener next week vs. Casa Grande.

BVAL putting out the RB's. Harris and Mixon elite players the past few years.
