Looks like all losses for the BVAL except for Liberty and Pittsburg. Liberty handled business against Vacaville, and Pittsburg squeezed one out against St. Mary’s.
I was at the Pitt game and the thing that stood out most was the SM JV’s. They seemed like they had only 20+ guys. I guess that goes bad to the lack of participation these days. As far as the game it was pretty well balanced and really could have went either way. A lot of big plays missed on both teams. Both teams quarterbacks played very well but it was the Pitt run game that made the difference. One things Pitt needs to get better is their kicking game. Missed multiple PAT and a lot of kickoffs were really short. Looked like a JV kicking game.
I actually think that Sm was more talented overall, but not by much. Pitt’s defense was just better than SM’s defense at slowing down the offenses. Pittsburg against Serra should be a huge game next Saturday.
