I would say Sac HI is the favorite but don't count MC out. I've seen both teams a few times and both are equally as athletic and big. MC has a great guard. (jeff wu) and big man (townes). Of course Sac high has a handful of talented players and likely 2-3 Pac12 type players. At any given time there will be 6-7 D1 kids on the floor at the same time. Both have played good non league schedules. Not surprised how this one ended up.

Sacramento has a much depth as anyone, what they dont have is a Robinson Idehen. If they dont crumble on the glass like St Marys did, this game will live up to the hype. I hope the officials let Townes and Young battle, watching these two physical power forwards collide will be fun. Dear officials, parking 12.00, admission 17.00. food 50.00! Let the kids play!!!

passfirst- That was priceless! You said it. I don't go to these games to watch the stars collect splinters. I was at DLS and SRV and man was it physical. The refs did a great job of letting the kids play while not letting the game get ugly. Hats off to them. Its a mans game.

Modesto Christian is very very good. They fell behind 18-4 and rallied back to win against a very good Sac Hi team. Modesto is definetly an Open team. Sac will be a top 3 seed in D-2 and could be the team to beat in Nor Cal.

Congrats to both teams. What a show. D-1 talent all over the floor. Solomon Young is the real deal. Sac was unable to get the ball to him down the stretch and it cost them.
