Huge loss for SHC. Barry did a phenomenal job amidst difficult circumstances, including minimal facilities and an alumni base with outrageously high expectations.
....and yeh, Harbaugh's Atherton house is back on the market for $12.98 mil and some change if they are looking for some booster/alumni non-cash enticement.....
This is a surprise...Barry leaves the door open to come back in some capacity though since he is an educator at the school one day.
At least the SHC parents and alumni were an unmitigated joy as the 2021 season unfolded.
Coaching high school sports is such a huge sacrifice and is often stressful and thankless. From all the reasonable Irish alums and fans, thank you Coach McLaughlin for all your sacrifices and for going out on top. He's a legend like Beima, Harrigan, and Barbour.
I have no knowledge of the situation, but Im pretty sure if Mike Hill wants the job its his. SHC will need to give him an admin job like what LyRyan had while he was coaching the Women's basketball team. There is no shortage of internal choices that are no brainers (Coaches Hill, Pugh, Evans).
Not sure what his background is, but I doubt Mike Hill get a student counseling job like LeRyan, who had a degree in psychology from USF. So if he gets a job on campus it might be something akin to what Barbour had.
