Friends of San Francisco High School Sports,
On May 8th, the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC) will be hosting the First Annual High School Awards Banquet at its North Beach Clubhouse located at 1630 Stockton St. Please see attached flier and Press Release. The event is modeled after the Heisman Trophy but we will be presenting awards to the best high school athletes and coaches in the City of San Francisco. The event is a fundraiser for high school sports and the AAA (SF public schools) in particular. We will be giving out awards for the Best Football Player, Basketball Players (male and female), Soccer Player (male and female) and Baseball Player. We will also be giving out two Lifetime Coaching Awards and the 2017 Coach of the Year Award.
Our special guests at the event will include the Mission HS State Championship basketball team and Soccer Coaching Legend (5 NCAA Championships at USF), former SFUSD teacher and SFIAC member Stephen Negoesco.
To be successful in our fundraising we need to sell 300 tickets. The tickets are reasonably priced from $50 for high school families to $80 for the general public and include an Italian Dinner. A portion of the price will be tax deductible. Tickets can be purchased on-line at the link below by finding the "Purchase Event Tickets" tab, by calling the SFIAC at (415) 781 0165 and paying by credit card or making out a check to the SFIAC Foundation and mailing it to 1630 Stockton Street, SF, CA 94133, Attn - HS Sports Banquet.
The event will be a great way to celebrate the high achievement of our young athletes, bring the San Francisco High School sports community together, raise money for a great cause and have a lot of fun. We hope that you can join us or perhaps sponsor some high school athletes to attend if you can not.
