Randy Duck has resigned as the head coach at San Ramon Valley HS. The job has been posted on the NCS website.

That would be a tough job in my opinion. Here you have a town that's really a soccer/volleyball town and getting kids to come out, I imagine would be difficult.

SRVHS gets good numbers. They always have plenty of kids to fill frosh, jv and varsity squads. The talent level has not been all that great recently, but they have a few incoming freshmen who could make a difference. Good facilities, easy access off the freeway, strong feeder CYO programs (St. Joan and St. Isidore). It could be a very good situation for someone willing to invest a few years to build the program.

I think, like most schools in Lamorinda and the San Ramon Valley, the pieces are in place to be successful. The right person, and a helping of luck, could make it happen.

I heard Bill Powers accepted the Monte Vista job - should be interesting to see him on the girls side after so many on the boys. Also heard that the Acalanes job is open and the Northgate job was posted today. Was Dan M pushed out or just calling it quits?
