Congrats to the San Ramon Valley basketball team. I think they got the short end of the
CIF Nor-Cal seedings but went on the road, accepted the challenge and took down Antelope 68-63.
San Ramon was led by Anne Marie Santich, who has been as hot as anyone coming into the Nor-Cals. She hit 5, 3 points in the 3rd quarter and score 26 in the game to help San Ramon pull away from San Leandro in the North Coast Championship game. She started right where she left off with another great performance, scoring 23 points and knocking down big shot after big shot & leading the Wolves to a big victory.
North Coast Section Champion, should not have to face the #1 seed in the 2nd round, the CIF is clueless when it comes to rankings. Did they see #16 Lick Wilmerding beat Menlo-Atherton? Each section does a way better job seeding then the CIF, who in my opinion missed on teams in just about every bracket!!
Go Wolves!!
