Santa Clara County is a Go!

Good news. That means it's possible for the WCAL (which spans three counties) to create a six- or seven-game schedule since CCS has permitted leagues to extend seasons to May 1.

Clarification: Unless things change, schools are to play only foes who are within their county or in an adjacent county, assuming all health rules are up and kosher. That would put the kibosh on a full seven-game WCAL schedule for everyone but Serra.

Aren't all 3 counties (SC/SM/SF) under the 14% threshold? Would suck if SF county remains noncommital despite meeting the State guidelines.

SF authorities are waffling on permitting competitive outdoor sports at this point.

SF currently has the lowest virus disease rate of any Bay Area county.
Been catching up on my hometown. There is a third metric used called a Health Equity score. It's a score to measure how well Counties are addressing communities hit hardest (low-income disadvantaged neighborhoods). Thus the delay by a week as their current score needs to be under 5%. Current score is 5.4%. Promising news on the re-opening of SF Public schools though....
