Serra wins its first NorCal title since 2005. They will play Long Beach Poly next week
Classic!no brainer chuck is best coach, but each year they still have kids that can play ball. assistant coach carson is real deal as well... st francis would/could destroy if they played that hard and had that coaching
b game kids can now say "we beat the nor cal champs"!!! lol
Congrats to Serra!!! Sounds like it was a great game. Get State! And they lost to an overrated WCAL team. Makes sense lol
El Cerrito has been overrated all year. They lost to every good team they played. Once Carlos transferred and left they were done.

Hard to say they're overrated if the made it to the NorCal final and lost a close game. I'd argue this is right where they should have been and that they are currently where they should be. To be one of 12 teams playing in NorCal is pretty good.El Cerrito has been overrated all year. They lost to every good team they played. Once Carlos transferred and left they were done.
Didn't you have EC winning? lolEl Cerrito has been overrated all year. They lost to every good team they played. Once Carlos transferred and left they were done.
Taking nothing away from Serra, but how does an all boys Catholic of 1,600 students end up playing in D3?Makes no sense to me.Against a coed public of 1100-1200?Serra wins its first NorCal title since 2005. They will play Long Beach Poly next week

Ok,though I thought it had a much bigger enrollment,Actually Serra's enrollment according to CCS enrollment figures is 1,758 (enrollment doubled) which breaks down to 879 boys so not as skewed as you pointed out. Regardless, Serra draws top athletes from a much wider geography (up and down the peninsula) than any public school could ever imagine so it's never going be to be a level playing field and I feel for the publics when competing against the privates.....
