SF Celtics

The two times I saw SHC last year, I got the sense I was watching an AAU game. When I watched SHC vs Riordan at the Forum, I was just smh at the sloppiness, individualism, excessive turnovers, missed layups and poor defense from both teams. That needs to change if they want to improve from last year....for both schools. But both were young and have another year on their belt, so hoping they both play well this upcoming season.

That game was as ugly as it gets from a WCAL perspective. I think it was more due to a general lack of talent than lack of discipline. I expect Riordan to be more competitive this year. Not entirely sold on SHC but they have a nice core of returning players but extremely limited size up-front (possibly they have a transfer or two parachuting in to help out.)

IMO, it's a combination of both. I watched the Mills vs Riordan game during the Crusader Classic and Mills definitely lacks talent and height. But they were 100x more disciplined...running their sets, patient on offense, moved the ball, making the extra pass, didn't gamble on defense...Mills ended up losing by 2 or 3. If Riordan played with some discipline, they would of probably ran them out the gym and had more than 1 league win. Same is true with SHC.
