SF Chron - SHC Coach "Forced Departure"

This mornings Wed. [4/20/16] SF Chronicle sports section article regarding 2 HS coaching coaching changes in bay area confirms that the highly respected coach at SHC was indeed dismissed as the basketball coach, "but will remain on faculty staff".

Was this perhaps too hasty a decision by SHC after one recent losing season in NorCal's toughest league?

Obviously it was. From all accounts here (Obviously I'm not in the inner circle of the program) he was an accountable good man. So he didn't have the Xs and Os acumen, but what he did have was the ability to recruit or attract elite talent; AND HE STILL WON! Barbour was a GOOD high school coach. Its very rare you have a coach that has both at the high school level. Be careful what you wish for, look what happened to the Niners...
