Only other answer is for CIF to step in. To late for emergency court injunction.
In my opinion CIF should cancel this years playoffs at all levels and declare winners in Nor Cal and So Cal by top seed remaining. No state champion. All Champions have an asterisk.

Sheldon didn't withdraw from the game, the district shut them down.

It’s USD......this is what they’ve been doing in other countries before large events. If someone on the team or heck even a Sheldon student or employee was sick. I’d understand cancelling the game. But this is not the case. And these Sheldon kids worked for months to get into this position they are in. All to lose it over something they can’t control.

Let’s think about something here. This game is cancelled, the ODowd girls moved on for the same reason against Menlo. It is very possible that the CIF either 1) takes precautions as well and come next weekend we will not have state title games, or 2) the Golden One Center backs out and says sorry can’t play here and in turn it would be to late for the CIF to scramble and we will have no state title games.
Personally I take the virus very seriously as my father in law was tested for it last night and thank God he was clear. I think the unfortunate side is a majority of society would survive, however if it gets into hands to elderly people and those fighting other ailments like my father in law is, then we have a massive wide spear problem. Had my father in law tested positive, no way he would make it. He is struggling to make it now.
Feel bad for the kids. Some great games left to be played and some definite exciting ones coming if the games do not get interrupted. And looking forward to seeing Salesian’s Campo shortly.

That's what people dont get. It's the possibility of passing it to those that are vulnerable. I risk my life daily because I have to. I wont want to put myself into harm's way if I can avoid it

The EGSD has totally overreacted. There is no reason this game could not be played tonight, or rescheduled to Monday if it’s about the location. Could play in a closed gym if need be (although that would still be ridiculous in my opinion).
Educate yourselves. If a parent doesn’t want their child to play, then let the parent make that choice. But for the district to cancel school for EVERY school in the district, based on a single potential case is simply dumb. It’s inexcusable. I can’t even describe how dumb it is. Any common sense will tell you that it’s highly likely that this is going to continue to happen. Cases will keep popping up. Then what? Cancel every school for a week again, and again, and again? They’ve set a standard that simply cannot be upheld moving forward.

Exactly! Why are the college games being played? Heck they fly to these and are exposed way more. Feel terrible for these kids. Though Sheldon would give SC a good game.
Imagine the seniors on the Sheldon team. 4 years battled their buns off....all for their season to end over some hysteria. If this were like the Outbreak movie where everyone and their mother was getting sick and this thing was known to kill everyone then thats one thing. It has a mortality rate of 2% and hasn't killed that many people under the age of 60.......to cancel games is unreal. It's such a CALIFORNIA thing to do.

It’s not Dublin’s fault. They busted their butts all year to make the Open and then battled back to beat the Bells. If they beat the BOD-Mitty winner as well as the SoCal winner, they would have deserved everything coming their way.
Meanwhile, Stanfraud is limiting attendance to games on campus to 1/3 capacity but they're allowing their own teams to play in the Pac-12 Tournaments with no restrictions. COMPLETE HYPOCRISY.
Cal should offer to host women's 1st and 2nd round NCAA Tournament instead of Stanfraud. In fact, I have contacted Cal AD before and gotten quick responses so I will email him now.
Not blaming Dublin one bit. I just wish the game had been played. Even Marvin Bagley is commenting about it and it got picked up on yahoo sports.

This is some TOTAL BS..... they district been tryin to hand cuff Rollings for years... They could never pin any recruiting things on him and they keep on winning this was the Morse certain way to prevent them from going back again. Like seriously this is not fair to those kids. At least give them the option. Just wrong on soooo many levels.
