Ick. Obviously would've been a very different story with McKenna, and Sidwell is a strong team (ranked in the top 10 nationally). But for comparison sake, Sidwell beat California by 12 and lost to Etiwanda by 13.

Mitty's trademark defense was there, but the offensive side of things was not pretty. Mitty's 40 points are the fewest the program has scored in eight years (Clovis West won 44-40 back in 2017). Freshman Maliya Hunter led the way with 14. Abby James, off the bench, had 10. I don't think either Devin Cosgriff or Tee McCarthy had a bucket.

No rest for the weary. Mitty plays the nation's #3 team, Morris Catholic (NJ), tomorrow.

Looks like the difference was shooting percentage. Mitty shot 30.4% field goals (14/46) and only 50% on free throws (10/20). Sidwell's percentage was 46% field goals made (23/50) and 100% on free throws (3/3). Hard to win a game with those poor Mitty numbers. Sidwell probably played a great defense too.
