I’m not sure how every year they screw up the seedings. It’s really not that difficult. Too many mistakes in several divisions. In division 1 boys, how is franklin seeded ahead of Jesuit?

Seedings up already? Cool... Something for me to geek out when I get home... :)

Totally criminal. Jesuit has a better overall record a much tougher schedule ranked way higher in max preps. Head to head they split with Jesuit winning by 45 and franklin winning by 1 in overtime. CIF obviously put all privates on one side of bracket.

Well looks like Franklin beat Jesuit last week giving them a tie for second place. Going through criteria it looks like Franklin beat Grant the 4th place twice while Jesuit split giving Franklin the edge

Do seeds #5-7 & maybe 8 all advance to Norcals once others get pulled to Open as in years past?

I think the model of competitive equity gives SJS 4 qualifiers from each division 1-5. Plus 4 at large . Then team will be placed into each Division . I could see 4 SJS teams going open then 4 at large teams place in D1 norcal. A team like St Mary's, Grant or Antelope could win SJS D2 and get placed in D1 Norcal

The committee wasn't very consistent, Franklin won 2nd place tie breaker over Jesuit. So we understand the 6 and 7 seed. But what about TCAL

TCAL designated winner Lincoln (won tie breaker over Tracy) is seeded as 10 seed, while Tracy is 8 seed.

Setting Lincoln up for a potential 1st round loses, in consecutive years. OUCH.

Is league the only thing that matters? Why even have a committee if your not going to look at the entire season and use some common sense.

Incorrect. The TCAL champion via tiebreaker was Tracy. Makes perfect sense to have Lincoln at 10.

I could see Jesuit beating Lincoln and Modesto Christian in round 2, but I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to Lincoln either. How about a 23-4 first round game against a #10 seed. Ouch. Can't lose those league games. That Franklin loss hurt. When Jesuit is playing the sort of ball I've seen them against top talent they are def a top 10-15 team in Norcal. But they need to be consistent.
