Flipped the coin ... I have Elk Grove and Folsom in the Finals.
St. Mary's is a bit young, and played well vs Napa, despite an early fumble which led to Napa's first score on a double pass trick play and the SM defensive back falling leaving Napa's WR wide open for the easy score.
St. Mary's played without their starting RB, #7 Zaunbrecher, who was out with an ankle injury. SM QB Dunniway was on fire for 4 TD passes to Hampton and 336 yards in the air. I anticipate Folsom's defense will give the Rams some trouble. But, if Jake Dunniway has time, he is pretty accurate with his throws. I also anticipate the Rams will have a hard time stopping Folsom's offense as Folsom's QB is playing pretty well himself. Picking Folsom. But, next year's SM team IMHO has a better shot at winning section with many of their key players just juniors. Still hoping for a good game and closer than some are thinking. GO RAMS!
Following the Grant vs Granite Bay thread and recalling Elk Grove's blowout victory vs Grant, I can't help but pick Elk Grove.
Coin flip says Elk Grove wins it all. But, given my luck, my 2 coin flips involving Folsom have not been too lucky. Maybe the 3rd time is a charm. We'll see. Still much football to be played
