Made it here to Golden1 early in the D6 boys’ game... Noticed two unusual things right away... Stockton Christian’s kids are in long warmup-type pants during play... Don’t think I’ve seen THAT before....

And currently Ripon Christian has three Van Groningen brothers and two Terpsma brothers on the floor...

Anyway, Ripon leads 37-35 at the half.

btw, 30 bucks to park... twice as much as admission to the arena... wtf?? I’ll have to plan ahead better for the CIF finals...

Ripon is using a very noticeable size advantage to dominate the boards 38-14, but is only up 7. 49-42 late in the 3rd.

#10 Araya has 26 for Stockton Christian... Over half their points... Rebounding deficit now stands at 48-21, tho... Ripon Christian is somewhat taller than average, but here in D6, they’re frickin’ HUUGE!

Don't know how you feel about cookies, but there is a place called Goodie Tuchews nearby....best cookies I've ever had in my life. Little lady who sells them until theyre gone.

As for parking, I would use an app and book it through the app in advance. Usually I save about 5-10 bucks doing that.

Anyway, these two small-school titans faced each other during the Modesto Christian tourney a couple months ago, and fireworks flew! Jalen scored 42 for the victorious Liberty Ranch while Austen put in 32 for the Sonora Wildcats in an overtime thriller... I believe Jalen scored 10 in the OT to seal the win.

Now they face off in a much different environment with a much bigger prize at stake...

Austin has 13 along with 6 boards, 3 assists and that tremendous swat.

Jalen has 9 and 3 assists.

Sonora is 8 of 16 from 3 while Liberty is 3 of 7.

Main reason Liberty is even this close is 9 of 12 FT’s made while Sonora is 0 for 1.
