For any parent who has a high academic (SAT >2200) on their hands they must understand the "bands" associated with athletic recruitment. Search for that on the web, and know exactly where your child stands relative to the band offers the HC has made to others. If you get a likely letter summer or fall, it essentially means you're in (don't get a C- in physics or calculus senior year.) If you get the message, "we want you, but we have to wait for admissions to approve you" you are NOT a shoo-in by any stretch. If he/she says, we are sending you a likely letter because you are a perfect fit academically and for our team, that's bankable.
