Unfortunately the gun violence this week in Oakland has spilled over and administrators have decided to forfeit the game vs Windsor tonight.

You mean over at the former King Jr High off 580? What's that got to do with Skyline? Did something else happen?

there have been 8 homicides this week. and just today 2 more people shot on 39th ave. i just think they decided there might be more violence

Wow. Sounds like somewhere I'd want to live in a beautiful downtown high rise! :)
as in every single major metro area. there are tons of bad and plenty of good. but i grew up in it and when it was 100xs worse in LA. i aint immune to it, but i aint scared of it either. i know what they look like are problems.
now in your neck of the woods.... they cheer for you on friday nights and get on facebook and threaten your life on saturday night. those the real ones i worry about.
plus, my building has locked entry, door man and lobby attendent. i am pretty safe. smiley face.

Let’s defund the police. Funny how they are all back peddling now. Mayor Libby is a 🤡
the police need to be defunded. just say you dont know what it is and stick to bad predictions.
and for the record, the police dont prevent crime. there is a fully funded pd and homicides were in the 300s before. clown face

I knew someone high up in OPD, way before defund the police. The court system and the politics behind it all are the major part of the problem. That’s why he got out.

Sacramento has had only 58 homicides as of mid June. Don’t trip man, nothing happens up there at all.

You sound like an idiot. Anybody who thinks police need to be defunded has no clue about law and order.

Something did happen at Skyline yesterday, unrelated to incident earlier in week at King Estates which is about mile or 2 down the hill from Skyline. Not a shooting but a fight broke out

again, law and order are not the police. they are to serve and protect.
police defunding you have no clue what it actually is. you are the idiot. police do not prevent crime. they show up after the damn fact. this isnt a 45 minute tv show on nbc. stabler and benson are fictional. east oakland is real life. and murders have happened there for 30 years.

What he is saying is in the early 90’s when the homicides were thru the roof that didn’t count. And that’s when everyone started fleeing and leaving according to others. Ankle, people everywhere think they know everything about the Bay Area. Until they live it day by day currently, it’s a debate you will never win.

if only we were able to erase the destruction of the inner city in the 90s. i am glad those who never experienced up close can just act like it didnt happen and think crime started in 2020 when facebook started posting about it.
