On the far, far road.
Watched every minute of the Antelope /SRV game on my phone at the American game tonight. Too bad SRV has to play Salesian next because that team is just damn fun to watch. They are disciplined and very well coached and beat a great Antelope team in Antelopes home gym. Wow. Keith Raimmee at American and SRV coach get my co-coach of the year vote. Now people know SRV has a good team, and yes they had a chance on the road at Antelope.

SRV is the best team we played all season and well coached. They were solid and very discipline and shot the ball extremely well. Harriel had 41pt and 15rbs and 6 steals strong performance in the lost. Unfortunately, Kaijia Lesane our other impact player was in foul trouble. Best of luck to SRV, job well done.
Just watched it. SRV looked good and poised down the stretch.
I think its was a bit of being poised down the stretch, but Antelope didn't do much to help its cause. As I said in another post, they went 1-4 flat and tried to 1v1 where as SRV ran their offense. Antelope looks athletic AF but as they say, athleticism doesn't always win. It was a hell of a game by both teams and great seasons getting this far.
Kiajia Lesane is a big part of our offensive flow. Not sure she played more then 15 minutes and the refs were solid for a NorCal game.
That’s high praise as you guys have played a pretty tough schedule. For some reason, SRV continues to fly under the radar.
SRV did lose to PW, Calif and American...and D1 big dogs Miramonte and Heritage were pulled out of the NCS D1 sections for the NCS OPEN so I'm not sure SRV was flying under the radar...their seed seems about right after you add PW, Salesian, Odowd and Clovis North into the D1 mix.
The BEST case I can see is they could have gotten a 7 seed instead of a 9...but you cant put them ahead of anyone 1-6
SRV is definitely very skilled. Salesian (as always) is tough and will get after it. Salesian has the pedigree and I'm curious to see how SRV responds to playing vs that pedigree. In that I mean do they (as an upstart just starting to make their name program) come out tentative vs such a storied program? Again I believe SRV is very talented..just curious to see their mindset.
Im not sure what you mean by has the pedigree?
I think "pedigree" translates to "experience in big postseason games" ... and experience does matter in these situations.
I also think SRV's schedule has not contained a lot of athletic, defensive-oriented, physical teams like Salesian. Sometimes it helps to have played against certain styles several times because then coaches and players figure out what they can and can't do.
Pedigree is the word I wanted... as it's used to describe quality programs in different sports all the time. At least it has been in the 1000s of ESPN articles and shows I've read/watched over the yrs.
Pedigree definition...google it
2nd description:
The background or history of a person or thing especially as conferring distinction or quality.
Hence the use of the term "pedigree" for a program
gotcha. Just don't think pedigree has anything to do with anything...it didn't help SMS last night, or Mitty last year-that's why they play the game. returning experience is much better than first timers..I get what you're saying
Wow. Salesian really turned it up in 2nd half!70-47 Salesian over San Ramon Valley. SRV had a great run and nothing to be ashamed of.
D1 NCS Champs and making it to a 2nd round game in Norcals losing to the #1 seed is a pretty darn good season by SRV.
