St Marys loses its second home game of the year in falling to Centennial 68-65. Samantha Thomas had GW 3 pointer with 11 secs left.

Back and forth game throughout after SMS built a 10 point first quarter lead. Ariel Johnson had 22 points.

Rams went 10-for-20 from the line and were outscored in bench points 21-3

SMS missed a TON of putbacks on missed shots. Sometimes missing 3 and 4 times on offensive rebounds in a single possession. It was strange to see Decosta miss so many from short range. Once again SMS had the BIG 3 score most of their points (DeCosta, Johnson and Young). Murray will be back vs CN next weekend and that should be a huge boost for them. It should leave her enough time to gradually work herself back into game shape so that SMS are at full strength for the OPEN. And if MURRAY can give SMS a 4th scoring option and another 3 pt threat (with young) that's REALLY gonna make SMS a tough out.

I'm really a fan of SMS play and I enjoy their up and down style. I sincerely hope that Naje Murray is fully healed from her surgery. She is a very good player with a bright future and An exciting college career awaits her.

Hopefully she is not pushing this return too early.

I too wish Murry a full and complete recovery. She will definitely give SMS a boost as long as she is fully ready to play physically and mentally. I don't think they should pile too much of a work load on her too soon. As long as she can gradually get her game back by March SMS will be ok. Naje will need to be healthy for college as well as years after playing basketball.

Nothing is more important than your health. Not school. Not money. Not basketball. Not a job.

Man, is that true.

Agree, too many missed put backs and free throws. SMS is young and very talented. Unlike Jazz I did not see coaching hurting them at all.
