Will be posting updates today. Starts at 12:00 PM with University vs. Sierra Canyon.

Games will be televised in Bay Area on Comcast Sports Network (California) starting at 12pm with D V boy championship

Sierra Canyon leads 9-0 with 356 Q1. SC has good size across the floor and have been able to get two easy buckets off turnovers.

University has missed a couple of close-in looks

Sierra Canyon leads University 16-10 end Q1. University has made three 3s. Great cheering section for University today.

University slow start, but looks very disciplined. SC defense swarms but makes turnovers on offense. University has some nice size in the middle. Thought it would be a route but University is holding their own, SC is very good in the transition.

Sierra Canyon leads 36-23 at halftime. Brandon Lew made a buzzer beating three pointer at the half.

SC doesn't look into the game very much today, but credit University for getting a lot of good looks.

Remy Martin is the best player on the floor

Sierra Canyon leads 53-35 with 353 left in Q3. SC doesn't want to guard the three point line and University has taken advantage. Love the effort University is playing with.

Sierra Canyon leads 53-38 end Q3. University really fighting well today

Sierra Canyon leads 73-47 with 322 left. Cody Riley had turned it on and may end up with the D5 rebounding record

Sierra Canyon wins 80-55. Should be the top team in the state to start next year.

Cody Riley had a state championship record 22 rebounds.

Great job CIF!! Putting arguably the states best overall team in d5 game. I fully believe monkeys could come up with better ideas than thr current CIF brass.

Damien leads 10-6 end Q1. Lot of length for Damien. Chris Hansen has all six points for Campolindo.

Damien leads Campolindo 23-20 at halftime. Chris Hansen has 10 points for Campo. Lots of length and athleticism on the perimeter for Damien.

Damien leads 34-30 with 338 left in Q3. Hansen is a load for the Cougars, Only thing keeping Campo in the game.

Damien leads 57-47 with 315 left in Q4. Damien has made a handful of 3s this quarter to extend the lead.

Damien wins its first state title in its first appearance with a 70-57 win over Campolindo. Jeremy Hemsley is the real deal and Micah Robinson's shooting was the difference in the second half.

SRV leads Chino Hills 10-7 with 324 left in Q1. Good start for the Wolves, who are dead set on limiting Chino Hills' transition game.

SRV leads Chino Hills 16-14 end Q1. Keith Smith controlling the action for the Wolves. Unsigned senior.

Chino Hills leads SRV 29-25 at halftime. Lonzo Ball has 14 points.

Kieth Smith has 11 points.

SRV leads 49-44 going into the fourth. Lonzo Ball has four fouls. SRV is on an 8-0 run.

Thanks for updates. Having Sierra Canyon in D5 was an insult . I feel bad for those university kids.
That hemsley kid is big time. SDSU good a blue chipper.

Go wolves!!

Tied at 61 with 132 left. San Ramon Valley ball.

Lonzo Ball fouled out with 3:18 left. Finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

SRV and Chino Hills are tied at 63 going to overtime. Both teams struggling to get HC offense. Will be the difference in OT.

The night isn't over yet. SRV and Chino Hills are tied at 67 going into overtime No. 2. Both teams really struggling to score down the stretch.

SRV leads Chino Hills 72-67 with 208 left. Christian Fuca has scored all 18 of his points after halftime.

WOLVES WIN!!! WOW…. MV last year and SRV this year. Total team effort. Chino Hills was so undisciplined. Jack up shots whenever /wherever. Basically the Lonzo Ball show and when he fouled out it was over.

San Ramon Valley gets its first state title with a 79-71 win over Chino Hills. Great team effort from a special group at San Ramon Valley.

EBAL now has back-to-back Division I state champions.

Congratulations to SRV Wolves and Coach Botteen
Confess they were not my pick but they got the job done. Great job for NorCal, the EBAL and especially San Ramon.

That was a great team effort by SRV. Really inspiring the way those kids played. Such balance from SRV but make no doubt about it this was Keith Smiths's team. Smith and Polosky stock just soared after this game. Both of this kids should find a nice home. Polosky had a strong double double and Smith FT shooting down the stretch was the difference.

Not really impressed with Chino Hills. Pretty much the opposite of SRV. Talent doesn't always win by itself. Mix in a little strategy once in a while.

Give me Kevin Smith over some of these over-hyped Nor-cal Kids ANYDAY! Some scouts really blew and bought into the hype. When I evaluate a kid I want to see what he brings to the table. Is he the fastest kid on the court every night? Can he get to the rim at will? Does he make his teammates better? On defense does he guard the other teams best baller even if giving up size? Props to Smith I hope somebody gives this kid a chance cause he can contribute and make a team better at the next level.

I second that in regards to Keith Smith. Has been underrated big time in NorCal. That type of kid can play for me anytime, anywhere. Great to see him get his shine last night. And a GREAT kid off of the court to boot. Congrats to Keith, his SRV teammates and coaches.

I totally agree with your evaluation, the kid kid is a flat out player!! And what makes it sweeter is he's not built on a hype machine. He can defend, he gets his teammates involved, and he can finish. What club team did he play for?

After that performance I would say he can play at the WCC or Big Sky Level. I'm sure he's been offered by the D2's in the state already. (I would hope). Just a really outstanding team effort. You can tell those kids really enjoy each other. All the kids on the bench were so into that game. Something they will always remember. And hats off to a coach in his first varsity season.

I am so happy for Keith and his family that he is getting some shine right now because he is a solid player and has been one of the better PG's in the area for the last couple of years. For those who don't think he can play at a D1, all he needs is an opportunity. He's a baller with a crazy amount of heart. Call me crazy but he looks a lot like Tyler Ulis and his short, skinny stature is not hindering him. I really hope some D1 school of note jumps in late and gives him a shot but wherever he winds up, he will continue surprising people and opening eyes.
