Stefan Hocum has stepped down after four year at Aptos, which projects to remain among the top public schools in the CCS next year

Heard this had to do with over-involved parents again. Too bad that coaches who put in so much time and commitment are being pushed out or choosing to go out because of parents that just can't stay out of the way.

Some things never change (though I don't know the situation in Aptos). Parental pressure has been part of coaching since I got started, and you don't want to know how long ago that was ...

Isn't the former coach a parent of an Aptos player? Unsure.

Yes he has a daughter on the team. Was a junior last year
