What quarter?

Interesting pre-league schedule for Sutter, playing a Centra Coast Section teams on consecutive weekends, EC, tonight, and next week, traveling south into Monterey Bay-Gabilon range to play Palma at the Salinas Sports complex. Anyone not from the SJSection ever drive up to see a game a Sutter? Tis one of these very long road trips into a fairly isolated agricultural (nut and fruit trees mostly) part of the world where the whole town shuts down and everyone shows up for game night. Okay, not much different than a lot of places, but not many places have these amazing buttes overlooking the north goal posts in the early season when the sun is going down. Talking about trees... are they surviving the 4-year drought and counting? Horticulturist Muds

Irish_Cheers! Thanks for the update. I'd like to see Sutter win 'cause next week it will make the game at the Complex just that more interesting and, just maybe, it'll rock the house like Steven Tyler and Arrowsmith did a month ago during the California Rodeo. (Wonder if Steven Tyler ever played HSFootball and wonder where he was ever able to found a mouth guard big enough to fit?!) Muds

Good game against El Cerrito. El Cerrito's DL/OL Banks is a stud. looks like EC o-line ran out of steam. EC has some really good athletes. Sutter played hard the whole game and adjusted at half. EC looks like they could be a pretty good team. They looked really good in first half and were penalty prone in second half. Sutter was undersized on the line but looked like they gang tackled well on defense but not lots of speed. They run the Wing T really well though and a disciplined team. Will be an interesting match up next week.

Sutter plays Palma next week. Palma scrimmaged St Ignatius today. Heard Palma mainly passed first couple series and their RB Emilio Martinez had only a few carries and looked good. SI RB looks pretty good but a little undersized. SI #88 is one big kid. Will be interesting to see Palma go up against Sutter Wing T. It will be a good game for Palma to also prepare for Aptos.

Thought Sutter has a great field. The rider carrying the flag on the horse during the Star Spangled Banner was great...also the pregame memorial. Seems like great fans and venue.

Was surprised by the early lead El Cerrito got, but it ended up being a very competitive game. This has been a fun series now in Year 3.

Fairmar3-if you come down to the Palma v Sutter Salinas game you want to miss the San Jose Friday traffic - best to be through San Jose by 3 pm. It is a bear of a drive through that traffic any later. What would normally take an hour can be 2 hours from San Jose to Salinas. I may attend part of the Frosh game, but definitely JV.

Awesome!!! Thanks Streak. Tried but it did not work. I could not find a box to type in the name. Just brings up prior conversations which I have none. Oh well
