Sutter wins NS D3 title

On a packed, cold, rainy night Sutter dominated the Cinderella storied Bobcats from Paradise.

Paradise played hard as expected. The game really was not as close as the score indicates. Sutter had a 90 yard punt return for a TD called back as well as another TD in the 3 rd quarter.

Just last year at this time the Sutter football program was aiding the Paradise football program as they suffered through the horrific fire that destroyed their community, so this victory was bitter sweet. Paradise represented well and they are a young team that will be competing for a title again next year. My hat is off to their whole program which was able to put a little sunshine on a community that has suffered dearly!! Best of luck Paradise as you rebuild!!

Yes it was a great atmosphere. Both teams played sound football. Will be interesting to see where Paradise lands division wise in north section in years to come. Their two rb's harrison and wagner are only sophmores i believe.

2 year cycle has already been put together before Sutter leaves. Next 2 years Sutter will now have Corning and West Valley as league games

You are correct! Both Harrison and Wagner are sophmores, they also got another back named Sonny Johnston who moved away after the fire, he will be coming back next season

Next 2 years Paradise will be in the SVL with mostly D4 teams, like EN, Winters & Durham. So they should get those valuable league points and likely get a higher seed in D3 playoffs.
