i agree... that would be the best way to go out. derek white and tyrese haliburton didnt even play so curry and lebron being number 11 and 12 in their 40s is doable

Call me crazy but I think Cooper Flagg has a better chance to make the team than Lebron, who might be retired by 2028.

I don't see Lebron, Durant and Curry playing in 2028. Think they will want to go out with this run. If the overall talent is lower (which I think it will be), I think they need to roster some more specialists.

You saw it this year. You can only really play 10. So the last two either they can fill it two younger players between 20-25 or have two honorable players just to be on the team and Lebron and Curry would definitely fit the criteria. Helps alot that it is in LA so they literally can just stay at the LeMansion instead of the Olympic Village.
When I predicted my 2028 team, I gulped. Oh no this doesnt look good unless Anthony Edwards turns into a top 3 player which is very conceivable in 4 years. But how fitting it would be France which in theory should be back in the gold medal game in 2028 vs hopefully the USA and get some sweet revenge on US soil?
We will see a generational shift in the NBA in the next few years. And this next generation has more international players at the top. USA still has the most depth by far, but how they play together is the question

AAU is not a trap, it is a means for fellas to get exposure when coaches arent flying to see them. if you think aau is there to teach fundamentals you are out of the loop. duke, kentucky and kansas arent flying to ponderosa high to watch games, however if those players are playing at aau tournaments in vegas the coaches will see them.
No one thinks AAU is there to teach fundamentals. AAU serves a purpose for sure, but it restricts the development of player fundamentals.
i gotta disagree... them fundamentals surely get developed when you are doing them versus the caliber of opponents on the shoe circuit

AAU is garbage now and you just have blinders on is all. Just a big money grab filled with lies, corruption, and false promises. About the same quality of people you will find on the used car lot are running most of these places.
👆 this and the programs are supposed to offer structure, build camaraderie, and a high level of competition... and then you have a few a-hole kids who get beat or outhustled by small asian kids and feel the need to punch them in the face or stomp on their heads. Come on kids/parents. Be better.

People gotta remember aau and shoe circuit are different. Aau is not controlled because you don't have the time for that. Control and discipline is taught by high school coaches who usually are more qualified but most importantly have the time. They practice or play 7 days a week. Aau coaches get 2 days to get players to learn sets. And sometimes you have 7 kids so you can't even scrimmage. No big 6 coach is recruiting a player without some shoe circuit experience. They want to see you versus the best
