Longtime College Park head coach Bill Kepler has stepped down after 26 years at the helm. He will be replaced by Joe Tenerio, the head coach at Encinal the past 8 seasons. A good hire to be sure.

Tenerio takes over at CP

Good to see Joe back in coaching. Very good hire for College Park. That is now three pretty strong coaches in the DVAL.

Grats to Kepler on an solid career.
Tenorio is a great coach. In 08, i believe Encinal was good enough to contend for state. They went 13-0, didn't get the nod. Encinal was the first NCS public school along that stretch of freeway to win a title since the late 80's no easy task.
;-( Although I have to admit I loved going to Encinal to watch games, and will miss the environment created by the nail house family at Willie Stargell field.

Like the guys said...a good hire.....Tenerio has his work cut out for him, The Falcon's went 3-7 last season and the JV did much worse...BUT, the Freshen team shows promise, now if Tenerio can lure Jackson away from CVC, this could get interesting...College Park has a large population and maybe some studs will come out....

Great hire! He will have CP competitive very soon, good to see him back coaching

Tenerio did a solid job at Encinal. He is a running coach, with an aggressive style of play on both sides of the ball. Looking at the conference history, look for CP to be one two most years with CVC. CP will be comfortable playing vs CVC offense as they run a bit of it themselves. Concord will be in the mix most years, but CP will make things interesting in that conference. Minus CVC, D2 is usually wide open.

Good hire! Hope for a quick turn around there at CP. Good to see Coach Tenorio in action again!
