Rumor has it the kids got locked out this morning by the warriors. With the ad still flashing on the Oracle billboard next to the freeway. After all the kids and parents paid for rooms at the hotel and attended the banquet dinner last night hosted by Robert Braunstein of 49’er Calhisports Bayarea. They woke up this morning to find out they’re locked out and will not be able to play at Oracle this morning.

Sounds just like the Bad News Bears getting the boot at at Astrodome!

“Let them play” :D

The real bummer is for all the families that drove or flew up from LA that really sucks. Bad enough if you drove down from Sac area or up from Clovis / Fresno but LA that would suck. Somebody has got some explaining to do......

I don't understand why it would be so difficult to let those kids play from like 10AM-1PM and then have the Warriors play 5:30PM to whenever.

It'll be interesting to see if this makes the new or any sort of sports blogs.

The Warriors have a game at 5:30pm today vs Utah.
You are correct and the organizer of the All Star game had to adjust start times accordingly. He had a rental agreement signed by the Warriors... the advertisement is still flashing on the Oracle billboard...

Probably spent it all renting Oracle for the morning! Ha ha

This just made the KTVU news....

I saw that. Communication breakdown. Evidently the promoters of the event, the Warriors and the Coliseum people were not all on the same page. They often will allow a shoot around for certain groups (I've done it myself years ago), but to have a full event like this they would have to pay fees to other parties and no one had gone through the proper channels. It is really too bad, as the kids are the ones that lose in this situation where the adults didn't dot all their I's and cross all their T's.

What did the news report say?
