If the authorities operating the Oakland Unified School District shut one of their six comprehensive high schools as predicted, what happens to the Oakland CIF "section?" A five-school league (or "section") is untenable. Just wondering.

A predictable outcome in the next 7-15 years is what you already seen with the AAA especially in schools like Galileo, Balboa. Those particular neighbors shifted from being populated with one particular demographic to another particular demographic. You are seeing those families get pushed out towards the delta and up north which is the reason why youre seeing strong SJS teams.
In all seriousness - I am only a casual observer of the OAL and AAA. I haven't seen a dominant league top to bottom in recent memory, just good and great teams at the top - state champs even.
I don't know when we're saying these transformations took place - maybe we're talking about dominant 1970s Galileo teams?
