Pretty decent game on paper up in the foothills tonight with Pleasant Valley from Chico traveling to Oak Ridge for a 630pm start. Both teams come in 3-0 and both haven’t been tested. Should be a physical matchup with some serious muscle and size on both sides of the ball. I don’t think PV will have enough octane on offense to hang with Oak Ridge though. I do see a decent game but OR will pull away in the 3rd and win comfortably. Playing such a soft schedule though could bite the Trojans come SFL. We will see.

Why in the world is Oak Ridge playing a team from the Northern Section, Chico, while you critique Folsom's schedule? What a joke man.

I certainly never was critical of Folsom schedule.
Don’t discount PV though. PV is a 2k student hs with a rich sports program. State Champ hoop Team in d2, great baseball program, and strong football. Not on par with OR but I wouldn’t lob them in with some team from modoc county

Thats a dodge Larry. The top SFL teams have no business playing against teams from the Northern Section. Just a fact.

That’s fair. I think Taylor had a short stick this year with scheduling. Bellarmine dropped them earlier. Next year OR needs to get a wcal and ncs team on schedule. They will be 5-0 going into Folsom game without any real comp.

31-3 now with 4 min in 3rd I think OR is going to be a problem in the sfl.
huge line, great TE’s, excellent QB, deceptive speed.

Quick heads up OR dropped Bellarmine, not the other way around.
Thanks. That’s puzzling to me. Would have been a great game too. Pittman will lose by 50+ next week.

OR final score 41-10. PV has a tough road game next week against Rancho. Kudos for them on their scheduling. I don’t think they will lose another game after next week.

I don’t know. I’ve surprised to be frank.
Folsom vs OR in 2w for SFL champ. You heard it from me!
Folsom could be pretty beat up having to go thru pit and dls.
After Folsom having played Serra, Pitt, and DLS (2 on the road), I think they will steamroll OR . OR hasn't played anyone and its going to be a rude awakening.

Certainly Folsom will be a heavy favorite but OR shouldn’t be taken lightly. They won’t have the skill players but they will be physically problematic. OR line play is better than Folsom. This is OR best team since 2019 when they lost to Folsom 36-33. I would be shocked if it isn’t close. Will be a hot ticket in EDH.

No chance. You are discounting their lines because of the level of competition they have played. OR has been playing patty cakes.

And OR has not seen the level of skill players they will face in Folsom. They are literally facing a handful of skill players that are all moving on to the next level, one at Notre Dame. Just lucky Lyons is out, otherwise it'd be a lot worse.

You spelled “patsy” wrong, it isn’t Patty cakes

And by the way are you always negative period. Someone agrees with you and you come with blah blah blah Folsom period. Man if I coached Folsom we would have problems. You wouldn’t be allowed on our field, on the road, and damn for sure a pizza place in Concord

Then if I coached in Orange County, you wouldn’t get passed Magic Mountain coming down highway five. You ever been to say a target, and once the shopping cart passes a point it locks up. I sure the hell would make sure your car locked up.

Wow. That was pretty bold. And mean.

What’s awesome is that this year the SFL is closer from top to bottom. Many teams with good records going into league play and much improved compared to last year. I am not sold on OR just yet. I have seen them play a few times. They have done a great job with the kids but their opponents have been no where near SFL caliber. Obviously the Folsom game will be a big test. I actually believe they will have 2-3 league losses when it’s all said and done. Until they prove they can beat GB/Rocklin I will hold off on title talks. GB is tough game to win. They can really pound it and have a physical OL with great backs. Rocklin is getting better every week and have shown that they can consistently play good defense and run the football. Overall I feel every SFL game this season will be fun to watch!

Awesome Points!…. It does seem like since the 2019 Playoff Loss to MT that the Folsom “Mystic” has been Broken…. Meaning, the SJS teams now believe they can beat Folsom making this a truly difficult road for Folsom…. And to your point, there may be multiple teams with losses at the top of the SFL….

I Still think Folsom is the favorite and they will win it in the end because if their Coach… The job Folsom Coach did last year was incredible!… He kept those kids believing and made some gutsy calls with their season on the line and they ended up in the 1-AA Bowl…

I think he is the best coach in the SJS and will be the X Factor in Folsom winning….

Let’s see how granite bay does with Vacaville tnite.
A Team OR Beat 62-0. GB struggled with Vista which is a red flag to me. I like GB too. Really a solid line and one of the best players in the SFL in Carter Jackson. Rocklin is way down though. I think DO is better.

Will be interesting to see GB tonight to compare with OR. As far as Rocklin I think a ugly Turlock loss to open the season has some doubting their outlook. Only time will tell! They still have plenty of talent in my opinion to play everyone close. Especially when Houston returns. Del Oro is another team I am excited to watch tonight against a talented MA team. Let’s roll!

I still remember Rocklin getting pummeled so badly in the playoffs last year by Folsom, struggling to score even once. It was bad.

I knew it would carry over. Folsom broke them off bad.

I still remember Folsom losing 40-7 and getting the scoreboard shut off with two players having Alabama offers on their team. If I recall they took a knee because they wanted no more. I’m sure you will say Folsom had their backup QB. So did Rocklin. Yours had multiple offers. Rocklin was 5’9 QB who never played. All that talent… weird that you seem so focused on Rocklin. Perhaps your still mad that they held the explosive Folsom offense to 27 points in two games and zero passing TDs. 18 Transfers.

Still living in the Maxpreps official scorekeepers head! #18 transfers, #QB2

I must have struck a cord lol

I remember Folsom playing that game with injuries and Rocklin celebrating like they had just won a SBG (when are they gonna win one BTW). I thought it was comical.

All that pent up anger and frustration.......................all to get to the playoffs and get choked out in front of everyone. Pure gold. You can't make this stuff up.

The jealousy from HWY 80 is real. :)
