Time for Enrollment Based Playoffs

Now that the CIF playoffs have been expanded to 13 teams what does that mean for the CCS proposal regarding the 3 Open Divisions? The new proposal would limit the CCS to only 3 teams eligible to go to the NorCal game. The three Open Divisions seemed to be a good proposal as long as the CIF allowed non-section winners to be eligible to move on. I don't think that the CIF plan allows this. It seems now that the CCS would be leaving bids on the table. I think it is time to go to enrollment based playoffs.

Agree. I also agree with Cal's head coach when he said in the Contra Costa Times that the section playoffs should be reduced. 15 to 16 games is too many.

Agreed! 15-16 games is too much with games 11 & 12 virtually being a cake walk in section playoffs for high seeds. Inter-sectional state playoffs and sectional (NIT) playoffs are the way to go IMO.
