Great article on a well deserving and hard working kid! Should teach other kids that aren't highly recruited during high school that dreams do come true with hard work and dedication........After playing sparingly his frosh year, redshirting last year, he hit.401 at Nevada Reno this year, made Northwoods All Star Team this summer, was one of the top players for the Team USA College National Team in Taiwan, Japan and Cuba. Now signing with the Reds! Perfect storm and well deserved.....

Follow-up: TJ Friedl (Foothill HS - Pleasanton and UNR) was assigned to Reds Rookie Team - Billings Mustangs the day after signing his record setting free agent contract in Cincinnati. From the leadoff spot he hits a HR in his first 2 official AB's (3-3 + hbp in 1st Pro Game). Then for good measure has 2 Dbls his next 2 AB's the next game before making his first pro out.
