Tough news from Cody Vaz (St. Mary's-Stockton)

I had the same disease 19 years ago at age 41 and it took me 8 rounds of chemo to get rid of it. Early detection is always key. I wish him well.

Unfortunately my aunt wasn't able to make it through her experience with cancer nor did my best friends mother. You are right, gotta catch it early. This cancer stuff is a beast! I'm happy you made it through bubba3000. It must be a true blessing everytime you get to watch your son compete and show case his skills on the football field and in the classroom, knowing in the back of your mind you could have missed all these special moment with him and the family. Thx Steak for the post, it helps to keep things in perspective. Hang in there Cody and good luck to you and your family

Thanks man. When I was going through it people used to ask me "how do you do it"? My answer was I didn't like the alternative! ;) You're right that going through something like this makes you grateful to simply wake up every morning.
