The 2018-19 final stats are in. Cal Hi Sports is reporting that the Trinity League welcomed a grand total of 273 transfers (all sports) during this academic year. That's an average of about 45 per school. Is there any NorCal league (or another SoCal league for that matter) which can approach those numbers? Probably not. Probably not even close.

That is incredible. I wonder which school had the most, and by what sport. Narbonne can match the Trinity with football transfers. NorCal is playing high school ball, SoCal/Trinity are playing major league ball.
Competitive equity is the only thing that will help keep some balance. It’s an obvious priority for those schools.

I can assure you there are a massive overhaul coming to transfer rules to all CIF participating school regarding athletics. Public & Private. This comes from an extremely reliable source. Time frame I am not privileged to but rest assure they will be game changers.

They should just rule mandatory 1 year sit out state wide. If they want to transfer they can transfer to out of state. The high schools should put academics in front and rule should be positioned as that - academics are priority and playing a sport is a privilege. If the players want to sit out a year and still transfer that supports the overall objects... 1) academics 2) sports are a an extra privilege to participate if grades warrant

That’s a nice look through rose colored glasses, and wouldn’t such rules defrock the whacked out families gaming the system? However....there is a profession that prides itself on challenging rules and regulations. They fiercely debate any nuance of SIGNED statutes. To those families, lawyering up against CIF is child’s play.

Those families ultimately realize even a NotForLong bonus after college doesn’t put bread on the table for a lifetime.

They kind of did, until Mater Dei decided to file a lawsuit against the CIF.

Yes ,all sports boys and girls which averages to about 2.5 transfers per sport.Nobody ever mentions the kids that leave the Trinity league every year like MD starting 5* and 4* DB who are no longer enrolled at the school. One transferred to Narbonne the other has yet to announce where he is going
