How dumb can you be.... A bunch of african american kids 6"5-6"9 walk into an asian dominated store in China.... Gee who looks out of place and who will get the most scrutiny? Call it profiling or call it smart police work. Anyway why is UCLA playing in China in the first place? Lets pull kids out of school and travel 10k miles for a pre season game. Probably a "knock off" outlet which if true would be akin to pulling a heist at the Fort Knox Check Cashing and Jewelry Pawn shop in East Oakland's Fruitvale district because "that's where the gold is".

I'm with Larry on this one - stupid of UCLA / Pac12 playing games over in China. I think that UCLA has a lot of responsibility here in that they put the kids in a situation without adequate oversight apparently. I don't condone the kids behavior but I would hate to see have extended jail time or penalty for a bad decision........

I don't want to sound like some hick from the hills about Chinese manufacturing and sales. I am more concerned with the fact that they are kicking our keisters in major manufacturing, solar conversions, battery technology, aerospace design. The Chinese are blitzing us on the development and manufacturing of electric vehicles, etc, etc. while we ramp up our coal out put . Their per capita science and math graduates should make us weep.

Needless to say the Pac12 will be providing tighter oversight of these "kids" in years to come. Still incredibly bad judgement on the kids part and I really scratch my head on what they were thinking....

Lastly, I'd also recommend non-stop viewing of the movies Midnight Express and Brokedown Palace on the flight over there.....
