Not much to say, other than I'm excited for another year of Bulldog Football and all the other High School football action. It looks like its going to be hard for my Bulldogs to beat Oak Ridge once again, with QB Ian Book(Notre Dame) on his senior year and with his
excellent passing. Also with Vacaville having lost most of their starting players to graduation. But once again I trust their system and coach Pop that they are still going to keep competing against tough non league opponents because Vacaville has such a good program that their players are always ready to start a season even after they loose their top players to graduation every year or every other year.

DEFENSE..DEFENSE..DEFENSE!!!

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!

Great to hear from you again Dan12Kings! I heard Oak Ridge is using the "Spread Offense" this year!

Yes Oak Ridge is spreading it out more but they still do have some power formations. I was at the Whitney game. Very high octane offense. Not much defense and team speed. If you guys have some speedy skill players you will score some points. But its a good OR team that is well coached and will be hard to beat. Ian Book is really good.

Thanks and yeah that's another reason to worry because teams that run the spread most of the time give problems to Vacaville passing defense.

Dan12Kings,

What are your expectations for Vacaville? Should they be at the same level as last year?

Oak Ridge has been going to the ground, it's surprising not to see the passing game, OR 7 Vacaville 0

Vacaville having a lot of trouble trying to settle their run game. Coach needs to figure something out before this game gets really ugly.

This game is getting ugly for my Bulldogs, they fumble the kick return and OR recovers deep in Vacaville territory couple of plays and OR scores another TD.
OR 29 Vacaville 7

I don't know what to say, it could be a lot of things, either Vacaville is having a bad game or it could be a down year for Vacaville. Either Oak Ridge is that good or Vacaville is this bad. I know its just one game but their run game has been really bad tonight, credit Oak Ridge for good defense. And it doesn't get any easier for Vacaville as they have a huge roadtrip to Redding next week. It's just one game and I hope it's just a bad night for my Bulldogs.

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!!

If this is in fact a down year for Vacaville, they might come off 1-4 in the non-league as their opponents are tough and the only "winnable" game looks to be Berkeley. It's also going to be a tough MEL for Vacaville as Wood is strong this year and Napa is Napa.

Very surprised by the margin of victory. Oak Ridge is going to put up some offensive numbers this year.

I was more surprised that Oak Ridge scored the first three touchdowns using mostly a running game and not much passing, of course when they took over after halftime they came out with their passing game to make it a blowout win.

Dan was this Vacaville's season opener? OR already had a win under there belt against Whitney. That plays into this as well. But lets not forget that OR is a top 5 team in Sac area.

Yes it was the Bulldogs season opener and If Oak Ridge is that good, then Vacaville has to have one of the toughest non-league schedules in the section, they also play @Enterprise, Granite Bay and @Pittsburg

Congrats to Oak Ridge. They have Vacaville's number and are leading the series. I wonder if Oak Ridge will renew it. Surprised as well, Vacaville is usually a strong run defense. It is still to early....come playoffs it is totally different...hope they bounce back..."GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!"
