Cooper has left for Willow Glen per Mercury News.

Open WCAL coaching vacancy... whats the draw to coach here and who is most likely to take over?

No draw to coach there. Even though it is a WCAL school, its only by default. And please don't justify it is.

Cooper has bounced around quite a bit already for such a young coach... by my count: Del Mar, Oak Grove, Valley Christian and now Willow Glen... any insight on so much movement?

Great campus, new facilities and lots of money. The right coach (recruiter) should be able to do fine with the sheer quantity of athletes in the SJ area. That is if they are given the green light to compete......the WCAL way

Valley Christian was really good in the early 2000's... the 2002 team (Young Rogdrick Craig, Joe Calderon, Marcus Martinez, Steve Cotton Jr and dad was the coach) went all the way to the D4 state title game before getting stomped by Horizon Christian from San Diego (I think they had Jared Dudley).. In 2005 or 06 they were also pretty good with Jerry Cotton and Terrance Worthy leading the way.. Biggest problem for VC is they haven't had a real player since Tim Harris in 2009. If the next coach can get some players, they can turn it around. Simple as that.
