Always wondered if Victor is realled to the famed former former head coach of St Mary's college and Pittsburg High football and wrestling teams George Galli. My deceased father in law was an assistant coach under George Galli at St Mary's. There must be a relationship - maybe his uncle since he mentioned parents in the article.

I think I recall it mentioned that Galli was a coach under Lad for a period of time before taking the HC at Pittsburg. As the Merc article points out, he played at DLS under lad a few years before Serra's Walsh did the same. Can someone correct me on Galli's coaching history?

I think you are right. If my memory serves me right (50-50 chance at best) I thought was an assistant under Lad as well.

Yes he was an assistant at De La Salle
